Sykehusinnkjøp HF intends to enter into an agreement with Medtronic Norge AS for the procurement of Nellcor SpO2 consumables for Helse Vest (Health Trust in Western Norway).The health trusts in Helse Vest intend to enter into agreement on disposable probes, multi-use probes and accompanying accessories for spO2 measurements with Medtronic Norge AS. Medtronic Norge AS is, according to what the companies know, the only supplier of original single-use and reusable probes from manufacturer Nellcor. The companies currently have several Philips monitoring devices that come with Nellcor algorithm. Only disposable probes and multi-use probes have Nellcor algorithms that are compatible with these monitoring devices. A contract cannot, therefore, be signed with other suppliers of these products. Based on this, a competition cannot be arranged, cf. the Norwegian Public Procurement Regulations § 13-4 letter b.
