The original Framework OJEU Notice had an estimated value of 75 000 000 GBP for the initial 5 year term; when the optional two year period was taken up this was increased to 105 000 000 GBP.The purpose of the Hand held Mobile Data Project is to:— Increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Police Officers and support staff;— Support intelligence led policing and informed decision making through improved availability of Police information;— Provide a range of secure channels to access information, that are not limited by an Officer's location or proximity to a Police station; and— Deliver mobile data services within the context of a ‘CONFIDENTIAL' level ICT network.The purpose of the SOR is to obtain structured responses from the Supplier via a formal quotation, detailing the goods and services required to address PSNI requirements for the specified elements of a Hand Held Mobile Data Solution.
