The Council is awarding a contract for the provision of Domestic Abuse Refuge Support Service (Women and Children), Making Safe Victims Floating Support Service, and Children & Young People's Therapeutic Service throughout North Yorkshire. The Service is being jointly commissioned by the Supporting People Partnership of North Yorkshire which includes North Yorkshire County Council Directorates ( Health and Adult Services (HAS), including Public Health, and Children and Young People), Probation, Health and the 7 North Yorkshire District and Borough Councils, namely: Craven District Council, Hambleton District Council, Harrogate Borough Council, Richmondshire District Council, Ryedale District Council, Scarborough Borough Council, Selby District Council.together referred to as the ‘Partnership’ with North Yorkshire County Council appointed to act as the lead for the commissioning of the service(s). Domestic Abuse services are delivered in partnership with North Yorkshire Police, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and other criminal justice and voluntary sector agencies.
