An opportunity has arisen to establish Independent Supported Living and provide supported living services to two young men in the central area of Northumberland, both 18 years old. One is leaving inpatient services, has previously lived with family and in Independent Supported Living, the other has previously lived with family and is currently in Independent Supported Living. Support is required 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, to include a shared sleep-in and a shared waking night. An individualised and very person centred, considered approach is essential from all staff members, in an unhurried, quiet, calm environment to support these young men that required a high level of support with all areas of daily living. Staff currently supporting one of the young men will be eligible to transfer under TUPE arrangements.
