This is a contract award notice for the following.The works include the design and construction of the category B tenant fit-out works at the former media centre at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stratford. The site consists of 5 storeys, comprising the northern end of the former media centre building.The contract works will include fitting-out for 3 tenants; Loughborough University, Hackney College and the Advanced Propulsion Centre. Loughborough University will act as the client/employer for all contract works/tenants.The approximate net internal area for fitting-out totals 72 000 ft and the value of the build is around 4 000 000 GBP (net of VAT).The contractor will be appointed under a standard form of design and build contract. The designs at award of contract will be 60 % complete.Landlord works are being completed on site by Here East, they will provide a non-standard category A fit out under the agreement for lease, they will undertake all of the major structural alterations required for the works. It is anticipated that the Category B fit out works will commence on completion of the landlords works.
