Luas Cross City will represent the next addition to Dublin’sLuas light railway system. Running from the Luas GreenLine terminus at St. Stephen’s Green through the city centrePhibsborough and Cabra to Broombridge the new line willlink the Luas Red and Green Lines and will also serve theplanned new DIT Campus facility at Grangegorman. Theproposed line is 5.6 km in length and will have 13 stops. Itwill provide interchange with suburban railway services atBroombridge and with city bus services at numerouslocations throughout the city centre.The proposed Luas Stops will include shelters, seating,balustrades, handrails, signage, bins, notice boards,Emergency Help Point's, Passenger Information Display'sand Advertisement drums. The contract for the design,manufacture and supply of the Luas Cross City stopfurniture is for a duration of 5 years with an option for afurther 5 years. This Contract may include for the provisionof stop furniture for future Luas lines and for the upgrade ofthe existing Luas lines.RPA will not be responsible for any costs, expenses orcharges incurred by candidate or tenderers involved in thisprocess. Award of contracts will be subject to the approvalof the competent authorities. If as a result of institutionalreform the Railway Procurement Agency merges with, or issubsumed into, other public bodies, it reserves the right touse the contract to procure works for the new entity.Candidates are advised that RPA is subject to the Freedomof Information Acts 1997 and 2003.
