The Invitation to Tender Document (ITT) has been prepared on behalf of the Welsh Ministers, herein after referred to as ‘the Client’, in order to establish a contract for Trade Missions Project Management.The Welsh Government’s Department for Economy, Science and Transport (ES&T) leads on delivering the commitment in the Programme for Government to provide growth and sustainable jobs. This is being delivered through the Economic Renewal Programme to develop a Welsh economy built upon the strengths and skills of its people and natural environment; recognised at home and abroad as confident, creative and ambitious; a great place to live and work.ES&T has a suite of Trade Support Programmes which aim to support the delivery of Economic Renewal by promoting and supporting the internationalisation of Welsh businesses. One of these is the Trade Missions & Exhibitions Programme where the Welsh Government will take a delegation of Welsh companies to visit an overseas market or attend a trade exhibition. The markets and exhibitions are selected to reflect current international developments which present export opportunities for Welsh Businesses.This tender exercise aims to ensure that the Client has access to support for arranging and managing the logistics of travel to and from markets and trade exhibitions. This will cover a range of activities including transport, accommodation, venue hire and in-market transport.The Client is looking to obtain a cost effective and professional management service for the delivery of business travel services to overseas markets, which will include provision of logistical support for in-market events. The service must provide a high quality of experience for delegates with a strong customer service focus for both Welsh Government staff and its’ customers.Note: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
