Hampshire County Council (HCC) has established a construction framework for contactors to deliver projects and programmes of work approximately in the 500 000 GBP to 4 000 000 GBP value range, although the majority of the projects are expected to lie between 1 500 000 GBP and 3 000 000 GBP.The type of work is expected to consist mostly of extensions, refurbishments and alterations to existing schools; however any type of building work to any property, including associated services and associated hard or soft landscaping, is included. Work to Fire, Police and NHS properties may be needed. Exclusively civil engineering works such as highways, bridges or coastal works will not be included.The Intermediate Framework will follow the principles and practice of the existing the Hampshire-Surrey Local Construction Framework (LCF) for projects up to 1 500 000 GBP. The Framework will be based on the 2-stage appointment of contactors to projects, early contractor engagement, open-book pricing and collaborative working as practised by the LCF framework. The type of work will include the requirement for contractors to be able to provide full design services with a construction project.The Framework will be available to all public sector bodies and associated organisations as listed in Section VI.2 of this award notice.
