A major upgrade of a leisure facility in the administrative area known as Coral Reef Waterworld is scheduled for 2016, which shall include replacement of the roof over the main pool hall; repairs to the ancillary roofs, the replacement of the waterslide tower and provision of two new water rides. The scope of the project also includes extensive internal enhancements of the main reception, changing village, Sauna World, Coconut Grove, Lazy River and associated external enhancements.The design element for the flumes (stage 1) will be covered by contract terms based on the subcontractor's precedent form of Pre-Construction Services (PCS) contract. The supply and installation element (stage 2) will carried out in accordance with the JCT Standard Building Sub-Contract with Sub-Contractor's design agreement 2011 and Standard Design Conditions 2011.The full building works for the roof replacement and new waterslide tower will be undertaken by a Main Contractor through a full UK JCT Standard Form Building Contract 2011 (Without Quantities) and with Contractor's Design Portion (CDP). This contract shall require that the aquatics package vendor's design forms the CDP and shall be novated to the main contractor.Responses to this ITT should therefore address the ride design and supply proposal set out in the ITT document. Tenders should be submitted in the form of a fully priced UK Sub-Contract that includes all of the elements described within the ITT documents. One of the qualitative criteria that shall be evaluated will be the sub-contractors evidence as to the methodology and proven UK track-record of the sub-contract entity that will execute the works.The Aquatic Package sub-contractor shall be appointed to design, supply and deliver to a site the ride GRP components of the two new rides specified in the ITT documents.The package shall include all the design and supply of all ride support steelwork delivered to a UK site, all ride pumping, pipework and controls (note: the existing ride pumping systems are to be retained, but replacement of the delivery pipework to the rides is specified).Design and supply of the water treatment system for the new rides (note: the existing ride water treatment systems are to be retained).The aquatic package sub-contractor shall also be required to undertake adaptations/upgrade to the existing rides and modify to the starts of the existing three rides that will be required to facilitate the new start tower and incorporate the two new rides.The complete Installation shall need to be in compliance with all UK sub-contract requirements for the above components.The Invitation to Tender can be downloaded from www.businessportal.southeastiep.gov.ukAn addendum will be issued via the portal after the advert has been placed as the scope of the reconfiguration to the upper sections and ride experience shall need to be updated in line with the existing 3D geometry survey.The images depicting the existing flume connections to the new ride tower shall be updated in order that the images accurately depict the proposed design intent.
